Thankfully, the horses ARE in good condition. There’s decent forage, and if we could keep people from running over the vegetation off-road, we’d be in even better shape (where’s the angry emoji with steam out of the ears?!).
I know, TJ. That happens all the time and it makes me cranky too. If the road is bad or inconvenient, they just wheel their vehicles out across the landscape. Arrrrrgh.

That’s bad enough – and yes, they do it in the basin, too, despite having the buggies that can easily navigate the ditches. But what I saw after this past weekend was willful, deliberate, off-road “playground” $hit using one or more motorbikes and one or more ATVs or UTVs. People can be so horribly, stupidly awful. No thought to the consequences. 😦 I literally cried.
We got about a one-minute spit last night, and I was feeling pretty pessimistic. … But then it started sprinkling around 9 a.m., and it is actually r a i n i n g ! ! ! ! ! ! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Hope it makes its way south to you all!
So glad to hear that, TJ! Mid-morning we had a 10 minute sideways rain blast and that’s it. Better than nothing but come on. “Rain in the forecast” around here is always a crap shoot. 🤨

Totally a crap shoot. It rained here for about an hour, but then the sky cleared FAST. And then it was like it had never rained: ground dry and not a cloud in the sky. I’m glad we got what we did and wish you had gotten more!

Looks like he is not lacking in groceries! Hop the rain keeps coming!
Ha – he’s definitely not lacking. 🙂 We got another tiny bit of rain, but then the sky cleared super fast, the wind picked up (as unfortunately usual), and the ground dried as though it had never rained. Disappointing … but I’m glad we got what we did. Maybe another chance late next week?!
😆 Skywalker IS a chonky boy! Does that mean the eating is good out there despite the drought?! Even when he’s tubby, he’s still handsome. 🥰

He’s a pretty easy keeper. 🙂

By the way. No rain. Nada. I knew it.

He looks happy!
He’s usually pretty grumpy looking. 😉
